Scientific Procedures

This week we have been learning about scientific procedures.  A scientific procedure is different from an instructional procedure and a recipe because it has a general statement, hypothesis and a conclusion.

We watched our teacher make herb bread and as she made it we wrote down the procedure.

Then we watched her conduct the ‘Mentos in Coke’ experiment.  We wrote down everything she did and said under the structure of a scientific procedure.  Title, hypothesis, equipment, method, results and conclusion.

What do you think happened when a mentos was dropped in coke?
